The Problem

Bob had lost his lower front six teeth due to infection. He was very keen to have his missing teeth replaced but did not like the idea of a denture, which could be prone to moving around.

Treatment Plan

Bob required a fixed, long-term solution, and we discussed different ways this could be achieved. The choice was either to have a bridge attached to his natural teeth, or have the large gap restored with teeth supported on dental implants.

The treatment plan also included preparing Bob’s jaw to be in optimum health in order to receive his new dental work.

Solution

Bob’s preference was to have teeth put back with dental implants. To keep costs reasonable, we attached the six teeth to two dental implants with a restoration called a bridge. As you can see from the photographs, these work very successfully indeed and Bob has been enjoying the benefits of this bridge for nearly 5 years now.
