Roger-James represents the 3rd generation of dentists at Market House and continues the work of his father’s 40 years of care.

Roger graduated from King’s College, London and has been working in general dentistry for over 20 years. One of his greatest pleasures is restoring mouths which have run into difficulty over the years and seeing the transformation in patient confidence, health and vibrancy. Having been mentored by previous skilled and caring dentists at the practice and consultant specialists, he spends much of his time carrying out complex restorative cases. Arriving at creative solutions with the patient to optimise their oral health for their lifestyle and stage of life.

A member of the British Society of Occlusal Studies and Association of Dental Implantology, he is keen to achieve harmonised oral health. A member of the Society for Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry allows him to carry out sedation for nervous patients.

Laurence qualified from Dundee University in 1981 and has a special interest in occlusion and Temporomandibular Disorders.

Laurence is interested in all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest and skill in treating Temporal Mandibular Disorders and the way the teeth relate to headaches, neck aches and tooth ache.

Laurence started his interest in occlusion when he heard Dr Niles Guichet talk in 1989 and then followed a structured 3 year training programme run by IPSO and taught by Dr Bill Comcowich, Dr John Bassett and Dr Peter Nissler. He has maintained an interest in occlusion and how it is important in all facets of dentistry. He treats patients with TMD and those who suffer from chronic headaches and neck aches.

Laurence lectures on occlusion and advanced dentistry both here and abroad and is currently the Director of Education for the British Society for Occlusal Studies (BSOS).

Maaike graduated from the University of Portsmouth in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in 2017. Following her degree, she completed her Foundation Training year in Dental Therapy treating dentally phobic patients, as well as individuals with special needs.

Maaike regularly attends continuing professional educational courses and is always looking for ways to improve her skills. She has a gentle manner and tries to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible.

Rosie graduated from the University of Portsmouth in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy in 2017. Following her degree, Rosie went on to study a Master Class in Periodontal Disease in 2018.

Rosie's passion in art offers a creative flair, fine motor skills and great attention to detail. "I make a concerted effort to put all patients at ease, with gentle techniques both behaviourally and instrumentally"
