The Problem
Dennis came to the surgery and presented with a tooth which was too decayed to restore. This tooth was situated near the front of his mouth and his other teeth were healthy. He did not want a removable solution, he wanted it fixed and to feel like one of his own natural teeth.
Treatment Plan
Dennis preferred the idea of a fixed new tooth, and we agreed a dental implant would be the best option.
Solution
We removed the remaining root carefully to preserve the bone around the old root, and to ensure there was a good healthy bed of bone ready to receive the new dental implant. After a few weeks of healing, a dental implant was carefully placed in the position of his old root, to match the present appearance and form.
After a short period of healing, the implant was restored with a new crown, to match the tone of the patient’s natural teeth.
