The Problem

Topsy presented to us with a missing front tooth after tripping on the pavement in town and knocking it out.

Treatment Plan

The tooth had been knocked out very cleanly, and after discussing the patient’s options with her, we provided her with an immediate temporary front tooth.

For the longer term, Topsy wished to replace the missing tooth but did not want a denture or bonded bridge, as these come with the possible risk of falling out.

Her preference was for a fixed solution, and it was agreed that a single tooth dental implant and crown was the answer.

We placed a single Straumann dental implant where the missing tooth had been, and once it had integrated we restored it with a tooth which matched the natural shade and appearance of her adjacent teeth.
