02/11/20November Lockdown Update: We are Open!
Following the government’s announcement on Saturday 31st October, we wanted to let you know that during this lockdown, Market House will be able to remain open for continued patient care as normal, due to the Standard Operating Procedures we introduced in June.
These system changes at the practice have worked very well and I would like to thank the team for their efforts in achieving this and our patients for their compliance and goodwill. It has been lovely to see so many of you again.
Figures for Covid-19 infection in the South and South East of England remain very low on the national scale, both in terms of incidence and rate of increase. We believe Market House remains safe but we will keep a daily eye on infection rates and advise if we feel that vulnerable patients can or should postpone non-essential appointments until the R value reduces once more.
Our PPE fees will remain unchanged. To clarify our position on our PPE fees; the increase in our normal PPE expenses (over 1,300%), the enhanced PPE and stringent procedures within the clinic (e.g. fallow time and air purification), means we had no choice but to introduce a nominal extra fee for patients. This extra fee does not profit the business; rather the contribution simply allows us to stay in operation whilst complying with extra safety measures set by government regulations. Please be reassured that we hope this is a temporary measure. We are committed to keeping costs to a minimum and will reduce this as the cost for PPE reduces or is no longer needed.
Lastly, please also see our updated cancellation policy, which can be found at the bottom of any page of our website.
We thank you once again for your continued trust and support during this unpredictable time. We are proud to look after you to the highest standards and look forward to welcoming you at your next appointment.
